The team at Keesler Orthodontics would like to take this opportunity to
invite you to our office. Both Dr. Marissa and Dr. Jeffrey work together
in developing the best treatment plan for each individual patient. Our office
provides today’s newest technology to benefit our patients. Recent technological
advancements have
made use of digital imaging, a computerized method of gathering
pictures. When used at the initial exam, these images allow Drs. Keesler
to evaluate any orthodontic concerns within minutes. For most new patients,
we are able to discuss the records and explain the recommended course of
treatment at this initial appointment. At this time we may also be able to review financial options and answer any questions regarding the orthodontic process. You will receive a customized treatment summary with visual printouts of our findings, which makes a great educational tool for family members who may not have been able to attend the appointment. This will also provide additional information to assist you in making an informed decision about when to begin orthodontic treatment. If treatment is indicated, diagnostic records are often taken during this same appointment as a convenience to our patients. Diagnostic records are necessary to obtain accurate models of the teeth and dental arches so that Drs. Keesler can measure their relationship to one another. This is just another step that can help you achieve the straight teeth and healthy bite you have always wanted. What is the Right Age for Orthodontics?
Adults and children can both appreciate the results of orthodontic treatment - a beautiful smile, improved dental health, and a boost in self-confidence. There is never a wrong age for orthodontics. We provide care to patients of all ages, from children to adults. Whatever your orthodontic needs, we are here to help you achieve them. The timing of orthodontic treatment is extremely important and greatly affects treatment results. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that every child receive an initial orthodontic examination as early as age 7. Many progressive treatments are now available for patients 6 to 9 years old that provide significant benefit, especially in jaw irregularities and guiding facial growth and tooth eruption. With early diagnosis, these treatments may also prevent conditions from worsening and can simplify or minimize future care. Because of the unique training and experience of Drs. Marissa and Jeffrey Keesler, adults are also prime candidates for treatment at Keesler Orthodontics. New techniques and materials make treatment more convenient. We understand the dental needs and concerns of our adult patients and are well qualified to formulate orthodontic treatment plans that enhance the relationship with your general dentist. Our practice offers unique options for adults such as clear braces and Invisalign, the invisible braces. Invisalign introduces a state of the art alternative to braces that is virtually undetectable to other people. Both of these options will allow you to smile with confidence.
