Fox Cities Family Extravaganza is held at Players Choice in Appleton. This year’s event will be on Saturday October 3, 2009. The event offers: tours of fire engines, six huge inflatables, face painting, carnival games, an entertainment stage, food and drink, door prizes and over 100 tradeshow exhibitors. During the month of February Keesler Orthodontics sponsors Field Trips for local 3rd grade classes. The children get to learn about braces and how they work, oral hygiene, how to properly brush and floss, what an x-ray is and why it is important, and to top it off they get to make a plaster mold of their thumbs. The Doctors feel reading and education are important in a child’s life. So each year Drs. Jeff and Marissa go into the local elementary schools to read books to the students.
Keesler Orthodontics proudly sponsors our patient’s athletic teams. Team Sponsorship requests can be mailed to our office and will be reviewed by our sponsorship team. In the past we have sponsored soccer, baseball, softball, kickball, lacrosse and golf teams.
During the holiday season Keesler Orthodontics gets involved with the Christine Ann Center Adopt a Family Program. The Christine Ann Center is a not for profit agency serving individuals and families in Winnebago and Green Lake Counties who are struggling with the devastating effects of domestic abuse. The staff at Keesler Orthodontics donates money into a fund; the fund is used to buy items a family needs for daily survival. This year we wanted to help out our four legged friends at the Neenah Animal Shelter by asking our patients to donate their pocket change. Keesler Orthodontics matched the amount donated by our patients. In 2009 we donated $447.66. Thank you to all who contributed! The Annual Food Drive is held during the months of March and April. The collected food is donated to an area food shelter. Food Shelters normally receive food at the end of the year but need donations year round especially in spring and summer months. Suggestions of things to donate are toiletry items and non-perishable food.
Candy Buy Back is held during the month of November we collect the hard, sticky, chewy, gooey Halloween Candy you are not able to eat with your braces or other appliances. The candy is then donated to Father Carr’s Place 2B in Oshkosh. Father Carr’s Place 2B feeds the hungry and thirsty, shelters the homeless, provides clothing, and provides healthcare for the uninsured.
